DISSEMINATION

Under the coordination of the project director, and with a view to disseminating as widely as possible the cultural legacy of the poet-surgeon, the project director, Corina Bozedean, proposed that the journal Vatra publish a Gaspar tribute feature, taking charge of gathering studies and testimonies from prominent figures from several cultural fields. Those consulted regarding Gaspar’s work enriched this “tribute,” whether they were people who had known him locally (Miklós Nagy Kund, Kőrös Sándor, Béla Haller, Smaranda Enache, Markó Béla), had researched him in Romania (Alexandru Matei) or abroad (the academics Daniel Lançon and Simona Pollicino, and the ENT surgeon Philippe Poivret), or were Gaspar’s translators into Italian and English, Maria Luiza Vezzali and Mary Ann Caws.

These latter studies/testimonies were translated into Romanian by Corina Bozedean and Andreea Pop and were published in Vatra, in its first issue of 2026, together with the perspectives offered by those who had known and met him.

Thus, the readers of this prestigious cultural journal, both local and national, will be able to benefit from an updated and enriched understanding of the poet-surgeon, who has enjoyed wide international recognition yet has remained almost unknown in his country of origin.
